Old Dodge Charger Under New Shell

The Dodge Charger comes from the era of muscle cars. Now that car is on the Highways - with up to 425 hp. …again

While Mercedes-Benz tries to give the American people the principle of diesel it seams that this concept falls in second plan because of the old sister of Dodge traditions: muscle cars. There is a car with a powerful HEMI under the hood. Dodge Charger!

Sure, this powerful engine is already in the Chrysler 300C. But the look - for American Muscle Car ratios – is still far too good. With a new shell , the legendary Dodge Charget is reborn. This occurs to famous Dodge and also with the new retro-Renner Ford Mustang, as in the TV chases on the streets of LA in Bullit in good old times. Steve McQueen would have big problems today to make up his mind…

In two ¾ of a second New Dodge Charger is faster then a dragster on the famous quarter miles.
. The race against no less than Dragster icon Gary Scelzi, however, suddenly ends in a closed toll barrier. Hmmm…something is not true. The Charger pilot throws his money in the slot and wakes up. I is all just a dream.. An American dream.

The Charger, however, on.1. June 2005 becomes a reality. With 340-horsepower V8 he starts at 29,995 U.S. dollars, driven by the smaller V6 (250 hp), 22,995 U.S. dollars due.
The top model SRT8 (32,495 dollars) hav even 425 hp. By comparison, the Mustang starts with six cylinders at 19,770 dollars, 25,570 of the V8 costs. In both cases much power for relatively little money. But the image of the PS cars drifting apart something in the future: The Mustang cruised through LA - and the Charget is chasing him with old tires..
